1) What we are (and what we’re not)
We rent self-service locker space. We do not provide custody/bailee services. You control access to your locker during your rental window and are responsible for what you store. These Terms apply to every booking made through our website, kiosk, or on-site.
2) Access and use
Access to the premises is via your door PIN; lockers open with your personal QR code (sent after payment by email and, if selected, SMS or WhatsApp).
Unlimited entries during your rental period.
Facility hours: We are open 24/7 • 365 days per year.
You must be 16+ to contract. Minors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
The premises are not wheelchair accessible.
No smoking, alcohol, drugs, loitering, or filming security systems inside the facility.
2.1) Time in the premises / Loitering
The facility is for brief storage access only.
You may remain inside the premises only for the reasonable time needed to store or retrieve your items.
As a guideline, this is generally no more than 10–15 minutes per entry.
Hanging out, sitting, waiting, sleeping, or using the location as a workspace or lounge is not permitted.
If a user remains in the facility beyond what is reasonably necessary, staff may request departure, and failure to comply may result in access revocation and, if required, removal by security or police.
The premises are monitored by CCTV. Access codes and logs record each entry. Remaining in the premises beyond normal locker use may be treated as misuse under these Terms.
3) Booking, pricing, and payment
Units: rentals are available by the hour; a daily rate applies once you reach 6 hours within a rolling 24-hour window from check-in (per locker).
Prices: (VAT included; per locker, not per bag):
We keep pricing simple and transparent.

Large: €3.49/hr — Daily max: €11.65

The first 2 hours are billed at the standard hourly rate.
From hour 3 onward, the hourly rate is automatically reduced by up to 25% with each additional hour, subject to the applicable daily maximum.
Once the daily maximum is reached at 6 hours, the locker may be used for up to 24 hours at no additional charge.
Payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal [if enabled].
A temporary authorization may be placed on your card.
Dynamic pricing/discounts may apply and will be displayed at checkout.

3.1) Airbnb Host Key Transfer Service
Verified Airbnb hosts may request a complimentary locker access code for guest key exchange.
To apply, email james@luggagevault.es with your Airbnb listing details.
Terms:
- One locker per host property, subject to availability
- For key exchange and small guest items only (not host storage)
- Guests using host codes must follow all facility rules, hours, and prohibited items policies
- Same liability cap (€600) and exclusions apply
- Host is responsible for informing guests of facility rules and hours
- We reserve the right to revoke codes if misused or shared beyond intended guests
- No refunds or compensation if service is discontinued
4) Cancellations, changes, no-shows
You may cancel your booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time (Europe/Madrid). Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start time are non-refundable.
You may change your booking (date, time, or locker size) up to 2 hours before the scheduled start time, subject to availability. If the new booking costs more, you pay the price difference plus a €0.70 management fee covering payment-processing costs. If the new booking costs less, contact us at hello@luggagevault.es to request a possible partial refund; however, changes made less than 24 hours before the original start time are non-refundable, so no price difference will be refunded on a cheaper or shorter booking within that window.
A no-show is considered a completed service and is non-refundable. This service is for a fixed date and time; once the service period begins, there is no statutory right of withdrawal.
5) Overstay / late pickup
Your access and QR codes remain linked to your locker until your belongings are collected and all outstanding amounts have been paid.
A 10-minute grace period applies after the booked end time. Once that grace period has passed, the original booking is considered complete.
If belongings are collected after the grace period, any additional time is automatically charged as a new booking period starting from zero, using the same hourly pricing and daily maximum that apply to the locker size originally selected. No separate late penalty fee is imposed. However, overdue use is not treated as a continuation of the original booking.
The daily maximum applies only within each individual booking period and does not entitle the customer to continued use of the locker without further charge once that booking period has ended. All outstanding amounts must be paid in full before the locker can be opened.
We may relocate contents if necessary to free lockers for other users, or for operational or security reasons.
6) Abandoned items
Removed contents are held for 31 days.
If you contact us within that period, we can ship items at your cost (national or international).
After 31 days, items may be donated or disposed of with no further liability.
7) Prohibited items
Do not store:
Illegal goods, stolen property, contraband
Weapons, ammunition, explosives, fireworks
Hazardous, flammable, pressurized, or toxic materials
Damaged or swollen lithium batteries, large standalone e-bike/scooter batteries
Perishable goods, strong-odor or leaking items
Live animals or biological materials
Cash, jewelry, precious metals/stones, passports/ID, unique artworks/antiques.
Vehicle parts containing fluids, oversized industrial objects.
Consumer electronics (phones, laptops, cameras) are allowed but subject to the liability cap.
8) Your responsibilities
Use only your assigned locker and fully close the door after each use.
Respect size and weight limits; never leave items outside the locker.
Keep access codes confidential.
Pack fragile items securely.
Don’t store essential travel documents.
Follow instructions during emergencies or maintenance.
9) Right to open / move contents
We may open or move contents only if:
There’s an alarm, leak, odor, smoke, or hazard.
We suspect prohibited items or clear misuse.
Required by law enforcement or a court/administrative order.
Maintenance or security issues arise.
A user overstays 500% of original time or 72 hours, whichever is longer.
Incidents are documented by staff and/or CCTV where feasible.
10) Service reliability & support
Hours: 24/7 • 365 days per year.
Support via phone, SMS, WhatsApp, in person during these hours.
If a mechanical failure prevents opening near the end of your booking and we can’t resolve it within 2 hours, we will arrange pickup or shipping at our cost to a Spanish address you provide. No further damages or compensation apply.
11) Liability Limit (Responsibility for Stored Items)
We provide self-service locker space. You control access to your locker and are responsible for what you store. We do not act as a custodian or bailee.
If your items are lost or damaged due to a verified forced-entry theft (meaning physical damage to the facility or the locker, confirmed by CCTV and supported by a police report), or due to damage directly caused by a facility fault (e.g., fire, flooding, structural failure), our maximum liability is €600 per locker per booking, regardless of the number, type, or value of items stored.
This €600 limit is a total cap, not per item.
If you have your own insurance (such as travel insurance), that insurance applies first. Our liability applies only as a secondary (subsidiary) coverage and only up to the €600 cap.
We do not cover:
Cash or currency of any kind
Jewelry, precious metals or stones
Passports, IDs, visas, or essential travel documents
Collectibles, antiques, unique or irreplaceable items
Artwork or items with primarily sentimental value
Data, digital files, or software stored on devices
Losses caused by sharing your codes or allowing someone else access
Indirect or consequential losses (missed flights, hotel costs, lost income, etc.)
Theft without evidence of forced entry (e.g., someone using your code, or you forgetting to close the locker)
Consumer electronics (phones, laptops, tablets, cameras) are allowed, but:
Data loss is not covered
For compensation to apply, the loss must meet the forced-entry criteria above
To make a claim, you must:
Notify us immediately at james@luggagevault.es
File a police report within 24 hours
Provide proof of ownership and value (receipts, purchase confirmations, etc.)
Our liability does not exceed €600 per locker per booking under any circumstances.
12) Additional charges for cleaning, damage, misuse, and prohibited items
By completing a booking, you authorize Luggage Storage Vault to retain your payment method and to charge it, after notice to you, for the specific additional charges described in this section where applicable.
These charges are not automatic. They apply only where your use of the locker or facility results in extra cleaning, damage, misuse, prohibited-item handling, excessively prolonged collection delays requiring operational intervention, or other service recovery costs covered by these Terms.
12.1 Categories of additional charges
We may charge your payment method for:
- the applicable overstay charges or costs arising from collection delays that require operational intervention;
- cleaning fees where a locker or any part of the premises is left in an unreasonably dirty, unsafe, or contaminated condition;
- costs arising from prohibited items, spills, leaks, odors, food waste, biohazardous material, or abandoned property;
- repair, replacement, or service recovery costs where you damage or interfere with a locker, kiosk, door, access system, surveillance equipment, network equipment, alarm system, or any other part of the facility;
- reasonable operational loss directly caused by damage or misuse that makes a locker or part of the facility unavailable for use.
12.2 Cleaning and contamination charges
If you leave behind spills, leakage, food waste, trash, strong odors, bodily fluids, or any other contamination inside a locker or anywhere on the premises requiring staff intervention, a minimum cleaning charge of €100 will apply.
Where the condition requires deeper sanitization, specialist cleaning, odor treatment, waste disposal, or third-party intervention, we may charge the actual documented cost, even if it exceeds €100.
12.3 Damage, misuse, and interference with equipment
You are responsible for the cost of repairing or replacing any property damaged by you, your companions, or anyone using the facility through your booking.
This includes, without limitation, damage to lockers, doors, locks, kiosks, scanners, electrical components, access-control systems, CCTV, alarm systems, routers, cabling, and related equipment.
If you tamper with, unplug, obstruct, cover, interfere with, or attempt to disable any locker electronics, network equipment, CCTV camera, access-control device, or security system, we may charge:
- a service recovery fee of €250, and
- any additional documented repair, replacement, technician call-out, or restoration costs actually incurred.
12.4 Prohibited items and unsafe conditions
If prohibited items are stored, abandoned, leaked, or discovered in a locker or on the premises, we may remove, isolate, dispose of, or report them where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or operational continuity.
You authorize us to charge the payment method used for the booking for the costs of handling, removal, disposal, specialist cleaning, third-party services, and any resulting damage or downtime.
12.5 Notice and supporting records
Before charging any amount under this section, we may send notice to the email address or phone number associated with the booking describing the reason for the charge.
Where applicable, we may rely on booking records, access logs, timestamps, CCTV records, photographs, technician reports, cleaning invoices, repair invoices, and internal incident records as supporting documentation.
12.6 No waiver of other rights
Where the loss or damage exceeds the amounts recoverable under this section, we reserve the right to recover the full amount of our documented loss to the extent permitted by law.
