Where is the most secure place to store luggage in Barcelona?
Luggage Storage Vault Barcelona offers one of the safest and most convenient luggage storage facilities in the city. We're located at Carrer de Padilla 275, about a 3-minute walk from Sagrada Familia and about a 10-minute taxi ride from Gaudí's Casa Batlló and Park Güell. The facility has PIN-controlled entry, QR-code lockers, and 24/7 professionally monitored CCTV, motion detection, and an alarm system.
How much does it cost to rent a luggage locker in Barcelona?

The first two hours stay at the normal hourly rate. From hour 3 onward, prices reduce automatically.
New lower daily max:
Medium €8.31 · Large €11.65 · X-Large €14.99. After 6 hours, you reach the daily max.
Can I cancel my locker reservation?
Yes. You can cancel your reservation up to 24 hours before your start time and receive a full refund. The refund will be issued to the same payment method used for your booking. If you cancel within 24 hours of your start time, the booking is non-refundable.
Can I modify my locker reservation?
Yes. Click "Manage My Booking" in your confirmation email to change your reservation up to 2 hours before your scheduled start time. All changes are subject to availability.
If your new booking costs more, you'll pay the difference plus a €0.70 management fee, which covers the payment-processing cost of the change. If your new booking costs less, contact us at hello@luggagevault.es and we'll review a possible partial refund.
Refund note: You can still modify your booking within 24 hours of your original start time, but changes made inside that window are non-refundable — so a change to a cheaper or shorter booking won't be refunded.
What are your opening hours?
Luggage Storage Vault Barcelona is open 24/7 • 365 days a year. Between 00:30 and 07:00, overnight visits require advance contact — see our overnight storage FAQ below for details.
Can I drop off or collect my luggage between 00:30 and 07:00?
Yes, with advance notice. We're open 24 hours, but between 00:30 and 07:00 our alarm and security system is fully activated.
Message us on WhatsApp at +34 623 75 18 82 with your arrival time, 15–30 minutes before you plan to arrive. We'll disable the security system, open the door remotely and monitor your visit.
If we aren't notified in time, you won't be able to access the facility. For security reasons, overnight visits are limited to 15 minutes. Thank you for your cooperation.
How do I book a luggage locker in Barcelona?
Click the RESERVE NOW button on our website, choose your date, time, and duration, and complete payment. As soon as your booking is confirmed, you'll receive your access QR code on your phone and by email.
I am an Airbnb host and want to use your free key transfer service. How do I get a free booking code?
We provide dedicated key lockers for Airbnb hosts at no cost. Just send an email to james@luggagevault.es and we'll create your host access code. You can then give that code to guests so they can pick up keys at any time—no meet-up required.
Do I need to book in advance?
Advance booking is recommended to guarantee availability, especially near Sagrada Familia. Real-time availability is shown during the booking process.
How far is Luggage Storage Vault from major landmarks?
We're centrally located at Carrer de Padilla 275, about a ~3-minute walk (~350 m) from Sagrada Familia. By taxi, it's about 10 minutes to Park Güell and 10–12 minutes to Plaça Catalunya. We're also easily reachable by Metro L2 (Purple Line) from Sagrada Familia station, just a short walk away.
How do I get to Luggage Storage Vault from Barcelona–El Prat (BCN) Airport?
You can reach us in several ways: Aerobús to Plaça Catalunya, then Metro L2 (Purple Line) to Sagrada Familia (about a 3-minute walk). Taxi or Cabify: roughly 25–30 minutes, around €30–35. Train + Metro: From Terminal 2, take the R2 Nord train to Passeig de Gràcia, then Metro L2 to Sagrada Familia.
How long can I rent a luggage locker in Barcelona?
Locker rentals are available from 1 hour up to 30 days. Once you reach 6 hours within a rolling 24-hour window from check-in, the daily max applies and you can keep the locker for up to 24 hours at no extra charge.
You can book up to 3 days directly through our booking platform. For longer stays, contact us at hello@luggagevault.es — we'll set up your booking and offer a better rate for extended durations.
Can I access my locker more than once during my rental?
Yes. You can open and close your locker as many times as you like during your active booking. Use your QR code each time to access your locker without any additional fees.
What if I return late, can I extend my booking?
You do not need to extend your booking before it expires. A 10-minute grace period applies after your booking end time.
Once that grace period has passed, your original booking is considered complete. Any additional time is automatically charged as a new booking period starting from zero, using the same pricing structure as a new booking for that locker size:
No separate late penalty fee applies.
However, overdue time is not treated as a continuation of the original booking.
**All outstanding amounts must be paid at the in-store kiosk before the locker will open.**
What if I don't receive my confirmation email or QR code?
Check your email (including spam) and your selected phone channel (SMS or WhatsApp) for your booking confirmation. If you don't receive it within 10 minutes, contact us on WhatsApp at +34 623 75 18 82 or email hello@luggagevault.es for assistance.
Can I store my luggage before hotel check-in or after check-out?
Absolutely. Many travelers use Luggage Storage Vault before check-in or after check-out so they can enjoy Barcelona luggage-free.
Can I book multiple lockers or store group luggage?
Yes. You can easily reserve multiple lockers in a single booking—perfect for families, friends, or tour groups. If the sizes you need aren't available, please contact hello@luggagevault.es for assistance.
What kind of lockers do you offer?
We use reinforced stainless-steel lockers with motorized electronic locks. There are three sizes to fit everything from small backpacks to large suitcases.
What size locker do I need for my luggage?
We offer three locker sizes. Use the internal dimensions below to match your luggage — always measure your bags including wheels and handles before booking.
Hard-shell luggage warning: Rigid suitcases do not compress. Spinner wheels add 3–5 cm of depth, and handles protrude even when collapsed. A carry-on listed at 55 × 40 × 20 cm often measures closer to 58–60 cm with wheels. If you have hard-shell luggage or you're between sizes, always book the next size up.

Why does my large suitcase fill the entire XL locker?
Because the XL locker's internal dimensions are 41 × 57 × 85 cm — and a standard large checked suitcase (76 × 51 × 30 cm) with spinner wheels and protruding handles uses virtually all of that usable space. This is an industry-standard locker size used by luggage storage facilities across Europe.
Photos can make locker interiors appear more spacious than they are. The published dimensions are always the most reliable reference. The limiting factors are the 41 cm width and 57 cm depth — once a rigid suitcase with wheels is inside, there is very little room for anything beyond small personal items like a jacket, backpack or purse.
Two XL hard-shell suitcases will not fit in a single XL locker. Two cases placed side by side exceed the 41 cm width, and stacked front-to-back they exceed the 57 cm depth once wheels and handles are included. What if my luggage doesn't fit in the locker I booked?
Our facility is fully automated with no staff on-site, but switching to a larger locker is quick and easy:
1. Book the next size up directly from your phone at luggagevault.lock-me.com.
2. Send a quick email to hello@luggagevault.es letting us know you're not using the original locker.
3. We'll refund the price of the unused smaller locker.
Tip: If you're unsure between two sizes, always book the larger one. It's easier and cheaper than rebooking on-site.
What can I store in a locker?
You can store any legal, non-perishable items that fit inside your chosen locker — such as luggage, shopping bags, electronics, coats, or even spare keys for Airbnb hosts.
What items are not allowed?
You may not store illegal, dangerous, flammable, pressurized, explosive, live, or perishable items. Anything that could harm people, property, or the environment is strictly prohibited.
Is the price per bag or per locker?
Prices are per locker, regardless of how many bags you place inside. Choose a locker size that fits your luggage comfortably — please do not overfill.

Can I store my luggage overnight or for several days?
Yes. You can keep your luggage securely stored for up to 30 days — perfect for short trips, weekend getaways, extended stays, or while transitioning between accommodations.
Between 00:30 and 07:00, our security blind and alarm system are fully activated for additional overnight security. If you need to store or collect luggage during this window, send us a message on WhatsApp at +34 623 75 18 82 before arriving so we can prepare the facility for your visit.
Are my bags safe at Luggage Storage Vault Barcelona?
Yes. Our facility at Carrer de Padilla 275 has PIN-controlled entry, QR-code lockers, and 24/7 professionally monitored CCTV, motion detection, and an alarm system. Each booking includes up to €600 liability coverage for forced-entry theft or facility-caused damage to stored items.
What does the locker insurance cover?
Each booking includes liability coverage up to €600 per locker for forced-entry theft or facility-caused damage. This coverage does not apply to: cash, jewelry, precious metals or stones, passports/ID, travel money/expenses, collectibles/unique items, or data/software loss. Indirect losses (e.g., missed flights) are not covered.
Why these exclusions? These items are either small enough to carry with you or require specialized insurance that we recommend obtaining separately.

How do I know if lockers are available?
